Our COVID-19 Policy

In these unprecedented times Roatán Events understands that planning your wedding or event may be more stressful than usual, with cruise ships and airlines postponing dates or cancelling trips. We want you to know that we’re here to support you throughout this journey. We’re in this together! For this purpose we have rolled out special policies for wedding reservations and corporate or personal events that will be effective while we navigate the impact of COVID-19. These new policies will let us make changes and adjust to the situation as necessary to ensure that your dream wedding or event goes as planned. Please check this page oftenly as minor details may change as the situation evolves.

Destination Weddings:

  • FIRST DEPOSIT (20%): To reserve your wedding date, venue, equipment rental and our services, you will only need to deposit 20% as opposed to our usual 50%.
  • SECOND DEPOSIT (40%): 3 months before your planned wedding date you will be required to deposit 40% of your total wedding cost.
  • FINAL PAYMENT (40%): the final 40% of your total bill will be due 1 month prior to your wedding.
  • ACCOMMODATION: will be paid directly to the hotel according to their own policies. This will usually be 50% to be paid upon reservation and 50% 15 days before your date of arrival to the island.
  • DATE CHANGES: We will be as flexible as possible with date changes. In case any issue would occur with your travel, we would do all that is possible to reschedule your wedding at no additional charge. . Our suppliers and business partners are also very aware of the uncertainty regarding travel. They are also doing their best to be flexible to make your dreams come true.
  • REFUNDS & CANCELLATION: Given the scenario that no rescheduling is at all possible, we would refund you in total your first and second deposits. Only the final payment, once made, would not be possible to refund, given that this would already be committed with our business partners and suppliers as well. Since this deposit is made one month prior to your wedding, we would have enough time to foresee any issues and respond quickly to ensure you run no risk. We know every couple has their own situations and struggles and any manner of issues may happen, so we will always be analyzing this as a case by case situation. Always make sure to keep your wedding planner informed of everything, they will know how to help you and avoid any losses.

Cruise Weddings:

  • FIRST DEPOSIT (50%):To reserve your wedding date, venue, equipment rental and our services.
  • FINAL PAYMENT (50%): the remaining 50% of your total bill will be due 2 weeks prior to your wedding.
  • DATE CHANGES: We will be as flexible as possible with date changes. In case any issue would occur with your travel, we would do all that is possible to reschedule your wedding at no additional charge.. Our suppliers and business partners are also very aware of the uncertainty regarding travel. They are also doing their best to be flexible to make your dreams come true.
  • REFUNDS & CANCELLATION: Given the scenario that no rescheduling is at all possible, we would refund you in total your first deposit.
